Introduction to Career Counseling and Placement Cell

Department of Higher education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh launched the Career Counseling Scheme in 2006, under which it was made mandatory for all Govt. Colleges to set career counseling cell. Every year an activity calendar is issued by the Director, Swami Vivekanand career counseling scheme Department of higher education Bhopal. The career cell of the college organizes various activities in accordance with the issued calendar.

Mission of the cell : “Learn & Earn”

The career counseling cell is fully committed to guide the students in deciding their career according to their interest & potential and support them for getting placement as well as to train them through skill development trainings so that they can generate self employment for themselves.

Functions of Career Counseling and Placement Cell

The functions of the cell are three fold-

Counseling for proper choice of the career and the guidance for the preparation of the same.
Conducting Skill development training programms.
Organizing and Supporting Placement Activities.

In addition to these functions, the cell organizes many other related activities. Few important ones are-

Organizing Entrepreneurship awareness camps.
Organizing Motivational and informative lectures.
Organizing visits to industries.
Arranging industrial trainings.
Developing communication and writing skills.
Personality grooming.
Conducting Mock test and Mock Interviews.
